Born on 7th June 1952 in Złemięso (Pomorskie Province). In 1976 graduated in Polish philology from the Gdańsk University Faculty of Humanities; in 1995 completed post-graduate studies in sociology of management at the Faculty of Management and Economics of Gdańsk University. 1977-1980 - elementary school teacher in Czarna Woda. 1980-1981 - instructor in Gdańsk Society of Art Appreciation. From 1981 to 1983 - director of the Cultural Centre in Zblewo. 1983-1985 - head of the literary editorial board in Gdańsk branch of the National Publishing Agency. In 1985 was deputy chairman of the Authors' and Illustrators' Cooperative. 1985-1989 - secretary of the editorial board of Kociewski Magazyn Regionalny and director of the Cultural Centre in Tczew. 1989-1990 - purchasing agent at the company Zakład Produkcyjno-Usługowy "Trapex" in Sopot, branch in Czarna Woda (production and services enterprise). Between 1990 and 1993 - manager and advisor to the director of the company Zakłady Płyt Pilśniowych in Czarna Woda (hardboard production plant), in 2002-2003 - advisor to the company management board. From 2003 - public procurement specialist in the company Zakłady Farmaceutyczne "Polpharma" SA in Starogard Gdański (pharmaceutical production plant). In 2006-2007 was president of the board of directors of the company Zakład Utylizacji Odpadów Komunalnych "Stary Las" w Starogard Gdański (waste treatment plant). Between 1990 and 1993 - councillor and member of Kaliska Commune Administration. From 1993 to 1998 - member of Czarna Woda town council and town mayor. Between 1998 and 2002 - councillor and Starogard district administrator. 2002-2006 - deputy to Pomorskie Provincial Parliament, from 2006 to 2007 - deputy speaker of Pomorskie Provincial Parliament. Member of the Federation of "Kocierska Więźba" Associations and member of the Society of Friends of Starogard Region in Starogard Gdański. Writer, journalist, regionalist. Author of some 30 books. Member of the Civic Platform Party of Poland. Married, has one child. |
