Born on 31st July 1961 in Bielawa.

In 1988 completed engineering studies and in 1996 graduate studies at the Faculty of Telecommunications and Electrical Engineering of the University of Technology and Life Sciences in Bydgoszcz. In 1994 completed post-graduate studies in digital telecommunications at that faculty.

From 1981 to 2007 worked at Telekomunikacja Polska (telecom company): as manager of the line section in Dzierżoniów (1989-2001), regional telecommunications director in Ząbkowice Śląskie (1995-2001), regional customer service director in Dzierżoniów (2001-2002). In 2002-2007 was Telekomunikacja Polska products and services sales director in Wałbrzych and then in Wrocław.

From 1990 to 1998 was member of the board of Piława Górna Town Council, and from 1998 to 2002 - chairman of the town council. Between 1995 and 1998 was deputy marshal of Wałbrzyskie Provincial Parliament. From 2002 to 2007 was deputy to Dolnośląskie Provincial Parliament, was its speaker in 2005-2006 and twice its deputy speaker (2004-2005 and 2006-2007).

Deputy chairman of Obywatelski Blok Samorządowy (group of local and regional activists with centre-right political affiliations), chairman of the district board of People's Sport Teams and deputy chairman of the Committee of the Wałbrzych Area Regional Fund.

Member of the Civic Platform Party of Poland, chairman of its board in Dzierżoniów district, member of its board in Dolnośląskie region and member of its national council.

Married, has three children.
